Overview for Endeavour to Communicate Artist Statement

As we reach for our future, our lives seem to unfold in memories that may have faded from our current thoughts or never have truly existed in the forefront of our mind. Yet when we look at a person or object we may hear a non-purposeful comment that can transport us into our past.

My artwork is an expression involving the mixture of non-verbal gestures and past reflective written statements that seem to cause a memory to form or allow one's to trickle out from the mind's recesses. Every piece I create has a uniqueness that was a personal, sometimes traumatic, life event, symbolically interwoven with gestures and memories spelled out, literally. All this done to create a harmonious display exemplifying the way our mind and body interact to demonstrate our inner thoughts.
